Gender & Women Concerns is a non-profit organization empowering Nuba communities through health services, women’s economic empowerment, and education. We work to build a brighter, healthier, and more equitable future.
Since the outbreak of war in Sudan in 2019, the Nuba Mountains region has witnessed an unprecedented influx of over 300 displaced individuals daily, fleeing government-controlled areas. This influx has strained already limited resources and added health challenges, with the spread of diseases like HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B becoming rampant.
Vision
Gender and women concerns’ goal is to create a nation that recognises gender parity.

To empower the remotely isolated communities of Nuba by providing access to resources, education, economic opportunities & health and wellness.
